Nicolas D For a film that dates back to 2001, I really liked the approach and the modernity of the special effects. I recommend it for a good laugh in the evening. My boyfriend put it on for a relaxing Sunday movie it felt like I was being punished the entire time. It’s truly bad. The story line is manageable bad sci-fi, hop skip jump fake science assumptions and illogical and silly actions. Honestly I love that kinda stuff! It is the writing that makes it unwatchable. My boyfriend normally has really good taste in movies so I didn’t say anything until we were very far in. I kept expecting some magical redeeming thing to occur. By the time I did it was too late, we were in it. Please, I beg of you, skip this if you don’t want to actively regret the past couple hours of your life. While the effects are decent, they manage to bring the extraterrestrial chaos to life effectively.The film exudes major Ghostbusters vibes but with a cosmic twist, creating a unique and entertaining experience. It might not reach the pinnacle of greatness, but it's undeniably fun and enjoyable. The idea of turning this into a TV show is tantalizing; the episodic format could explore the alien shenanigans with even more depth. "Evolution" may not be a masterpiece, but it certainly tickles the funny bone and leaves you wanting more extraterrestrial hilarity.
